Bonjourno, here we have another Monday on another new week, how the bloody hell did that happen? I honestly feel like this year is flying before my very eyes, I can’t keep up with it all, sometimes feeling like I am drowning and simply forgetting to appreciate what is really going on around me, but more on that soon enough.
So, you may have noticed a few wee changes around here? A fresher, more slick version of PagesByMegan and I for one am thrilled with the makeover. I worked with the incredible Gatto team to update PBM which was a rather quick process indeed once we got the ball rolling… It was just finding the time to sit, discuss, plan and act that was the problem… Oh life.
Gatto have always been the ones to tittyface PBM, taking it from what was Whatsnewpussycatt (LOL) and bringing the new and improved PagesByMegan into the blogosphere. After the hectic switchover two years ago now, I thought it was about time to up my game, up my style and to inject a little newness into my internet space and I ran quickly across to Gatto to bring my ideas to life.
Whilst I had the ideas, I didn’t have the tools to bring it to fruition so Gatto patiently and creatively explained, planned and designed what we have here today.
I really am over the moon with what Gatto and I have brought together here, it’s a slicker more fresh version of PagesByMegan and I can’t wait for you to read below more of the changes we have made.
Whether it’s new and bespoke blog designs, pre made blog layouts, websites and branding packages for small websites and creatives, Gatto have it all, whilst being really bloody lovely and SERIOUSLY patient with dimwits like me…
So the first major difference to my new site is of course, the way in which my posts are laid out. We now have some pretty HUGE images which was something I really, truly wanted for my blog; I spend so much time on the photography for my posts that it seemed such a shame to have them so small. Now they’re flipping huge, with some that fill the entire screen, so I truly hope, like me you appreciate this small but essential update to PBM.
Next up we have the Shop, a little place where I feature direct links to the majority of the things you’ll find me wearing on Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat, which means it’s super easy for you to find exactly what it is I am wearing… WINNER!
Gatto and I have also added yet more tabs to the top of the page so you can find specific topics super easily. It was very important to me to have a section dedicated to my posts about Manchester; that way should you ever be in the area, PBM can be your go-to guide for planning your trip.
In addition to the larger images, the shop and the clearer, more defined tabs, I also really wanted to include a relevant song to each and every blog post. Music is a huge part of my life and something that I do talk about ofter on here, so it made complete sense for me to throw in an added song for you lot. A song that completely reflected the blog post you are reading, or perhaps the outfit I am wearing, or maybe even just the mood I am in whilst writing said post, it’s something I really wanted to include for you and I really hope you both like it, and find some new tracks to add to your playlists.
So they’re the most obvious of changes to PagesByMegan, whilst Gatto and I added some really nifty and fun changes to my website, I was extremely keen to ensure that my blog continued to flow in the way it always has done. A really digestible continuous scroll of witterings and style inspo, and I truly hope you like it this way. When I read blogs I prefer to scroll and scroll and scroll, rather than clicking all over the show, so Gatto and I really wanted to make this a key thing here on pagesbymegan.com, just this time with a seriously slick finish.
So thats everything that Gatto and I have been working on for the past few months. I really hope you like the changes, but of course I would love to hear if there is anything you don’t think is neccesary or you simply do not like, we’re all ears.
I simply cannot express how awesome Gatto are to work with and would highly suggest you drop them a line should you want a cheeky blog refresh too.
